Pop Culture Style Inspo...

Wanna dance...with me?? OK!

FOOTLOOSE and fancy free.

Next to Road House, Dirty Dancing, Amadeus and Twister, Footloose for sure lands on my top 10 movie list. I know, my layers run deep. 😄

The style of the 80's!! Flowy dresses, big bow ties, dancing heels. All the yes...and all the nostalgic feels. I can remember watching this as a kid, dreaming about going to prom one day. Instead of a corsage, my date would bring me a potted plant. I would even dance in my bedroom like Ren McCormack in an abandoned warehouse because they JUST WON'T LET ME DANCE!!

In light of our current isolation, this Pop Culture Style mimic is for all those missing prom this year. YOU WILL GET TO DANCE!! And I encourage you to dress UP, get a DJ going, have a virtual prom with your besties! I want to see Facebook filled with prom dresses and suites, high dancing heels and black loafers... and don't forget BIG bow ties, like mine. ❤

GO DANCE TO THIS RIGHT NOW!! Click here to be transported back to 1984

"From the oldest of times, people danced for a number of reasons.

They danced in prayer... or so that their crops would be plentiful...

or so their hunt would be good.

And they danced to stay physically fit... and show their community spirit.

And they danced to celebrate."

"And that is the dancing we're talking about. Aren't we told in Psalm 149 'Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song. Let them praise His name in the dance'?

"Ecclesiastes assures us... that there is a time for every purpose under Heaven.

A time to laugh... and a time to weep.

A time to mourn... and there is a time to dance."
