No matter the day you’ve had, the worries, the woes, highs and lows, excitement or boredom...𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓. There is something to be said about aroma 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒚. Apples, spice, citrus, vanilla...a concoction even the witchiest of witches would be proud of.
There is no exact amount or precise recipe, I add what 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕, stirring and tasting along the way. Once the contents of my cauldron taste about right, I simmer and stir and protect and waft.
Apples, pears, oranges, 4 cinnamon sticks, 2 slices ginger, allspice, nutmeg, vanilla extract. Boil, then stir and simmer for 2 hours.
𝗔𝗗𝗗 maple syrup during simmer. Mash everything in the pot, then strain.
𝗔𝗗𝗗 fresh lemon juice before filling your pitcher. Voila!
𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗗𝗬: add 𝒎𝒂𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒔𝒚𝒓𝒖𝒑 to a glass. Then pour your cider. Top with a cold pat of butter. It will slowly melt into each sip. 𝗫𝗼
